Joyce June Skaggs

Joyce June Skaggs, 80, Kokomo, passed away at 10:41a.m. Friday, December 12, 2025 at her home. She was born July 6, 1945 in Logansport, IN and was a daughter of Charles and Laura (Suddoth) Edwards. On June 3, 1995 she married William Skaggs and he survives.

Joyce was an Elvis fan and enjoyed country line dancing. She loved to cook and made her family many delicious meals over the years. Most of all she was very affectionate and loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, William Skaggs; children, Michael (Kim) Conklin, Christina (John) Abney, Jon (Brenda) Sailors Jr, and Tammy (Josh) Hodgens; step-children, Bill Skags II, Christine (Steven) Bicknell, Marcy Thompson, Jason (Tina) Skaggs, and Tabatha Hart; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Rose Conklin, Barb Edwards, Katie (Paul) Schmidt, Rocky Shackelford and Raymond Shackelford.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 8 siblings, and a daughter, Tonya Conklin.
