Joyce Ann Pullen, 85, Walton, went to be with her Lord & Savior at 11:42 pm Saturday, May 24, 2025. She was born July 1, 1939, in Logansport, the daughter of the late Earl and Dorothy (Schwalm) Wolford. On March 22, 1958, she married Ronald Pullen, who preceded her in death on October 9, 1989.
Joyce was a 1957 graduate of Onward High School. She retired from Kmart after 10 years of service. Joyce was a member of Center Community of Faith Church, formerly Center E.U.B. Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was known by many for her homemade noodles and her angel food cakes.
Joyce is survived by her children, Judy Thomas, Kevin (Dawn) Pullen, and Jane (Art) Michael; grandchildren, Eric (Lynnsey) Bell, Kyle (Lynsee) Pullen, Derek (Taylor) Pullen, John (fiancé Cherokee Barnes) Thomas, and Matthew Thomas; great-grandchildren, Brynnley, Breckyn, Bexley, and Bronson Bell, Kashton, Kodee, Lane, Luke, and Adalyn Pullen; and special friend, Dale Forgey.
In addition to her husband Ronald, Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Carolyn Kraay, Mary Lou Cain, and Doyne Wolford; and son-in-law, Wesley Thomas.
A funeral service celebrating Joyce’s life will be held at 2 pm Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Center Community of Faith Church, 1475 E. 1125 S. Galveston, with Pastor Brent Cripe officiating. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 12 pm until the start of the service at the church on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to Center Cemetery in Joyce’s memory. Stout & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
