Joseph E. Evans

Joseph E. Evans, 69, of Kokomo, passed away on July 22, 2025, at his home. He was the late son of Donald and Carolyn (Shaff) Evans, born on June 7, 1956. On July 4, 1987, he married Kimberly R. Roberts who preceded him in death on February 25, 1999.

Joseph graduated from Kokomo High School. He is a US Army veteran who served from 1974-1976. Joseph was a press operator at Syndicate Sales where he retired in 2018. He enjoyed fishing, playing the lottery and going to casinos. He liked running around town talking to his friends and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his son, Jason (Crystal) Evans; stepson, Andy Beard; stepdaughter, Jennifer (Ryan) Reynolds; sister, Donna (Evan) Lewis; grandchildren, Christopher Evans, Melanie Evans, Macey Reynolds, Ainsley Beard, and Carter Beard; great-great grandchild, Zylee Evans; nephew Christopher Evans; and niece, Brandy Evans.

Joseph was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

A graveside service will take place at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Greenlawn Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army and the Kokomo VFW Military Rites Team. Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
