John Loman

John Loman, 82, Burlington, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at his home. He was born June 12, 1940, in Carroll County, the son of the late Wayne and Edith (Merrell) Loman. On March 25, 1962, he married Sally (Webster) Loman at Burlington Church of Christ, and she survives.

John was a 1958 graduate of Burlington High School. He was in the Army Reserves for six years. John was a farmer and drove a school bus for 30 years for Carroll Consolidated School Corporation. He retired from Chrysler Corporation after 10 years of service. John was a member of Burlington Church of Christ and had been an elder for many years.

In addition to his wife Sally, John is survived by his children, Diane (Scott) Beaver, South Bend, Cindy (fiancé Doug Kline) Caldwell, Kokomo, and Brett Loman, Louisville, KY; 2 grandsons, Adam (Jessica Pohlman) Wheeler, Kokomo, and Derik Caldwell, Lafayette; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce (Kenneth) Orem, Bringhurst, brother-in-law, Clarence Webster, Kokomo, and sister-in-law, Bonnie Myer, Tucson, AZ.

John was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Roberta Wisdom.

A funeral service will be held at 3 pm Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Stout & Son Funeral Home-Neptune Chapel, 44 Michigan Rd., Burlington, with Pastor David Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Ball Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 1 pm until the start of the service on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at the funeral home.
