Jimmy “Shakey” Allen Collier, 81, formerly of Kokomo, passed away 2:48 am Friday October 31, 2025, at Brickyard Healthcare in Kokomo. He was born in Kempton, IN, on April 29, 1944, the son of the late Lowell and Mildred (Miller) Collier.
Jimmy was a 1962 graduate of Sheridan High School. He retired from Chrysler after 30 years of service as a test driver. He also was a mechanic and was formerly employed at Biddles in Sheridan. He was fascinated with cars and drag racing. He was a member of the American Legion and the UAW #685. Jimmy will be remembered for being the life of the party and dancing to the beat of his own drum.
He is survived by his children, Tammy Collier, Chad (Laura) Collier; sisters, Karen (Jeff) Thatcher, Elizabeth Berger; grandchildren, Ashleigh Collier, Austin Collier, Zach Collier; and best friends, Ron Ousley, John Morris.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Don Collier, Bill Collier.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 am to Noon Tuesday November 11, 2025, at Stout & Son Funeral Home – Russiaville Chapel, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, IN 46979.
