Jaxon Lee Sears

Jaxon Lee Sears, 21 months old, passed away unexpectedly due to heart complications on Thursday September 4, 2025, at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born at Riley in Indianapolis, IN, on November 10, 2023, the son of Luke and Allison (McMinn) Sears.

Jaxon was a gentle, energetic, and happy young boy. His bright blue eyes and bleach blonde hair gave him an angelic appearance and presence. Jaxon thrived playing outside, riding on tractors, and wrestling with his dad. He adored animals and was talented at mimicking the noises that they made. Jaxon will be remembered for lighting up the room when he walked in.

In addition to his parents Luke and Allison Sears, Jaxon is survived by grandparents, Alisha and Darrell Sears, Scott and Christine McMinn; great-grandparents, Rocky and Juanita Sears, Peggy McMinn, Dale and Faye Overmyer, James Kenner; aunts and uncles, Autumn (Shane) Douglas, Summer Sears, Austin (Hunter) McMinn; and cousins, Jaylah, Parker, Paityn, Tobias, Noah; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Gayle McMinn; great-grandmother, Elaine Kenner; and sibling, Baby Sears.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3 pm to 6 pm Sunday September 14, 2025, at Grace Baptist Church, 2818 S. Park Rd., Kokomo, IN 46902. A funeral service will begin 10 am Monday September 15, 2025, at the church with Pastor Kerry Williams officiating. A link will be available at the bottom of Jaxon’s obituary page to view the funeral live at 10 am on Monday. Burial will follow in New London Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jaxon’s memory to Stout & Son Funeral Home to assist with expenses. Stout & Son Funeral Home – Russiaville Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
