Jason Charles Richardson

Jason Charles Richardson, age 55, of Kokomo, IN, passed away on April 19, 2026. Jason truly loved life and found his greatest joy in his family. He was a man who appreciated the simple things and lived each day with a kind heart.
Born in Oneonta, AL, on March 9, 1971, Jason was the son of the late Jimmie Richardson, Sr. and Mary (Miller) Carpenter. He is survived by his mother, Mary Carpenter of Kokomo. He was preceded in death by his step-father and “Dad,” Joseph Carpenter.

Jason’s legacy of love continues through his five children: Bryan Richardson and Aleta Rogers, both of Kokomo; Tiffany (Shane) Johnson of Tompkinsville, KY; Shelbie Richardson of Columbia, SC; and Callie Richardson of Kokomo. He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren.

Jason is also survived by his siblings: brother Jimmie (Sherri) Richardson of Lawrenceburg; and sisters Missy (Ray Dean) Myers of Kokomo and Tina (William) Mitchell of Peru. He was cherished by an extended family and many friends near and far.
Jason will be remembered for his gentle, yet, occasionally mischievous, spirit and the unwavering love he held for those closest to him.

In keeping with Jason’s wishes, no public services will be held. Arrangements are being handled by Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory in Kokomo.
