Janet Ann (Landes) Lawton

Janet Ann Lawton, 82, Bringhurst, passed away at 12:30 pm Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Kokomo Healthcare Center. She was born July 26, 1940 in Carroll County, IN, the daughter of the late Vernon “Mike” Henry and Christina (Randolph) Landes.

Janet was a 1958 graduate of Burlington High School. She gave 30 years of her life to working in various nursing homes across Clinton, Carroll, and Howard County. Janet was a member of Hope Community Fellowship Church, formerly known as Sharon Baptist Church.

Janet is survived by her nephew, Billy Landes; niece, Stacy Landes; along with several cousins.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Landes.

The family would like to thank the ladies of Hope Community Fellowship Church who helped care for Janet.

A funeral service will be held at 12 pm Monday, March 27, 2023, at Stout & Son Funeral Home-Neptune Chapel, 44 Michigan Rd., Burlington, with Pastor Mike Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 am until the start of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
