James "Jim" Michael McCormack

James “Jim” Michael McCormack, 82 years old, passed away Sunday December 14, 2025, at his home in Russiaville, IN. He was born in New Castle, IN, on April 25, 1943, the son of the late James Harold and Alice Elizabeth (Hawkins) McCormack. On December 22, 1960, he married Patricia V. Burnette, and she preceded him in death on June 30, 2021.

Jim proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. He served for 30 years as a machine operator at Chrysler until his retirement. He had a great sense of humor. He was a creature of habit. Jim liked listening to music of all genres, vegetable gardening, and time spent on his laptop, watching TV, and reading the newspaper.

Jim is survived by his children, Anita McCormack, Kelly (Joann Lloyd)  McCormack, Curtis McCormack; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Thomas) Carlisle, John-Michael McCormack, Kerrigan (Garrett Dennis) McCormack, Tessa McCormack, Daylon (Junior) Tyre; sisters, Linda McCormack, Roberta McCormack; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, James and Alice McCormack; daughter-in-law, Sandra McCormack; and siblings, Donna Strayer, David McCormack.
