Jacqueline "Jackie" Ann McDonald

Jacqueline “Jackie” Ann (Roode) McDonald, 88, of Kokomo, passed away 4:36 am Friday May 2, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent. She was born in Howard County, IN, on March 11, 1937, the daughter of the late Lowell Leon Roode Sr. and Kathryn Gwendolyn (Finch) Roode. On April 6, 1968, she married Jerry McDonald, and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2005.

Jackie was a 1955 graduate of Russiaville High School. She worked in the office at Eriks’ Chevrolet. She was a strong and tenacious woman who fought the devastation of polio for nearly 85 years of her life. She absolutely adored cats and found great joy in caring for them. She formerly attended Russiaville United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her brother, Lowell Leon (Donna) Roode Jr.; and nephews, Lowell Leon (Janine) Roode III, Darrick Ray (Julie) Roode, and Shawn Spencer Roode.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Roger Vernon Roode.

Private family entombment will take place in Sunset Memory Gardens. Stout & Son Funeral Home – Russiaville Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
