Jacqueline “Jackie” Ann Grimme, 91, Russiaville, passed away at 11:33 am Monday, January 10, 2022, at Community Howard Regional in Kokomo. She was born December 22, 1930, in Tipton County, the daughter of the late Carl and Berniece (Wilburn) Tyner. On August 14, 1949, she married Beryl “Jake” Grimme at the Normanda Christian Church, who preceded her in death on February 21, 2019.

Jackie was a 1949 graduate of Prairie High School. She retired from Western School Corporation after 25 years of service. Jackie was a member of the First Christian Church. She enjoyed cooking and being a farmer’s wife.

Jackie is survived by her children, Larry (Shawna) Grimme, and Lisa (Gene) DeLeon; grandchildren, Jacob D. Grimme, David C. (fiancé Logan Buck) Grimme, and Jake R. DeLeon; great-grandchildren, Hunter Alan Grimme; and sister, Joy Jones.

In addition to her husband Jake, Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, son, Ken Alan Grimme; and brother, Harold Tyner.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday, January 17, 2022, at the First Christian Church, 854 N. 300 W., Kokomo, with Pastor Steve Allen officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2 pm to 5 pm Sunday, January 16, 2022, at the church.
