Jack (Jackie) Lee Bowley, 85 years old, of Kokomo, passed away 6:58 pm Tuesday March 17, 2026, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. He was born in Kokomo, IN, on December 25, 1940, the son of the late John and Jane (Stout) Bowley. Jack was married to Lola (Hipes) and they raised their children together. On June 30, 1996, he married Cathy Mae Arcari, and she preceded him in death on December 13, 2010.
Jack was a 1958 graduate of Kokomo High School. He worked at Chrysler, then served 42 years at General Motors as a Group Leader. Jack was a kind and funny man. He prioritized taking care of his family. Jack had a natural calling to help children in need and his house served as an open door for anyone who needed it. He formerly attended Grace Baptist Church in Kokomo. His favorite past times were fishing, boating, bowling, and spending time at the lake.
He is survived by his children, Chad (Jamy Wisher) Bowley, Cheryl Zimmerman, Pam Cavanaugh, Rich (Christa) Arcari, Stephanie Hill; sister, Alice (Curt) Berry; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sharon and Darrell Stiner, sisters-in-law, Janet Vaught and Lesa Watkins; the mother of their children, Lola (Hipes) Bowley; grandchildren, Sysilie (Nolan Rutschilling) Hill, Cheyenne (Drew) Householder, Collin Smith, Sierra Gibson, Faith Cavanaugh, Olivia Holmes, Austin (Brittany) Bowley, Samuel Hill, Lucas Bowley, Rhiannon Bowley, Kendall Bowley (Owen Whitehurst), Sydnie Hill, Matthew Arcari, Jacquelyn Hill, Cameron Arcari, Connor Beeler, Miles Bowley, Stella Bowley, Ava Poat; great-grandchildren, Beatrice Bowley, Bella Bowley, Violet Rutschilling, Cohen Gibson, Norah Gibson, De’Aire Emerson Lee, Wiley Whitehurst; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jane Bowley; wife, Cathy Arcari-Bowley; son, Brad Bowley.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 am to 1 pm Saturday March 21, 2026, at Stout & Son Funeral Home – Russiaville Chapel, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, IN 46979. A funeral service celebrating Jack’s life will begin 1 pm on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Kerry Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Sharpsville Cemetery.
