Gloria Jean Sheets

Gloria Jean (Davids) Sheets, 77, of Kokomo, passed away at 10:45 am Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Community Howard Regional Health Hospital in Kokomo. She was born in Frankfort, IN, on July 16, 1947, the daughter of the late Hazel Davids. On January 4, 1964, she married Ron Sheets, and he survives.

Gloria was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Russiaville, where she served as secretary for 52 years. She was a most loving and caring wife, mom, and Nanny to her family. She had a smile that would light up the room. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, regularly attending their ball games as their biggest fan in the bleachers. Gloria was an incredible cook, and she enjoyed hosting everyone at her home. She and Ron enjoyed their extensive travel to new places, but cherished most the family vacations to the beach.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Brian (Laura) Sheets, Sherri (Mark) Messer; grandchildren, Joshua (Alex) Sheets, Jessica Sheets, Jacob (Caitlin) Sheets, Erika (Brady) Hall, Jordan Messer; great-grandchildren Rowan, Sawyer, Margot, Maxine, Jaxson, Cameron, Lucille, and another on the way, plus a bonus great-grandson, Landen Bratton.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Davids.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 pm to 6 pm on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Stout & Son Funeral Home – Russiaville Chapel, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, IN 46979. A funeral service celebrating Gloria’s life will begin at 11 am Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Russiaville, 260 W. Main St., Russiaville, IN 46979, with Pastor Ned Sutherland and Pastor Ron DeGraaff officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery in Clinton County. Contributions may be made in Gloria’s memory to First Baptist Church Russiaville.
