Glenda Carol Estep-Welcher, 82, of Kokomo, passed away at 3:07 am on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Century Villa Healthcare in Greentown. She was born on June 20, 1943, the daughter of Hobert and Evelyn (Bright) Blackburn. On August 27, 1964, she married Thomas Milton Estep in Jonesville, VA, who preceded her in death on September 28, 1999. On June 20, 2003, she married Neal Welcher in Sevierville, TN who preceded her in death on January 25, 2021.
Glenda was a homemaker and was a member of the Southside Apostolic Church. She enjoyed socializing and going to Bingo nights.
She is survived by her children, Donna (Dicky) Shackleford and Bill (Ann) Estep; stepson, Todd (Jan) Welcher; grandchildren, Jessica Estep, Chris Shackleford, and Lacey (Amanda) Wheat; and four great-great grandchildren.
Along with her spouses, she was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Justin Shackleford, and sister, Diane Hubbs.
A funeral service celebrating Glenda’s life will be held at 12 pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Southside Apostolic Church, 1716 E. Firmin St. Kokomo, IN 46902, with Pastor Keith Mosier officiating. Burial will take place in Crown Point Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 am to the time of the service on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, donate.cancer.org. Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
