Geneva Niccum

Geneva Niccum, 69, Kokomo, passed away at 4:51 pm on Friday August 5, 2022, at Kindred Hospital, Indianapolis.  She was born on March 31, 1953, to the late Lowell L. and Velma Kay Birkey in Peru. She married Ronald Niccum on July 27, 1974, at the Howard Miami Mennonite Church, and he survives. 

Geneva was a 1971 graduate of Maconaquah High School.  She worked for Bona Vista at the Crossing for 16 years and cleaned at Liberty Baptist Church in Sweetser.  She enjoyed gardening, canning, ceramics, and crafting.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Along with her husband, Geneva is also survived by her grandchildren, Alexis Bollinger and Taylor Bollinger; siblings, Rosalyn Beachy, Merle (Becky) Birkey, Wayne (Shirley) Birkey, and Lavon (Tamera) Birkey; and her cat Addy Marie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Retha Martin.

A funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Friday August 12, 2022, at Fairview Baptist Church, 2108 E. Vaile Ave, Kokomo, with Pastor Steve Sherwood officiating.  Friends may visit with the family from 1 pm to 3 pm Friday at the church.  Shirley & Stout Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
