Frances Waneta Draper

Frances Waneta Draper, 84, of Burlington, passed away at 2:34 am on August 15, 2025, at Community Howard Regional Hospital in Kokomo. She was born on February 3, 1941, in Marion County, IN, the daughter of Nelson I. and Waneta (Michael) Hobensack. In July of 1973, she married Charles E. Draper who preceded her in death on August 31, 1990.

Frances was a member of Burlington Church of Christ and was an Indiana Volunteer of the Year Recipient.

She is survived by her sister, Patricia Klemme; nieces and nephews, Elaine Ellis, Paul (Brenda) Klemme, Mary (John) Indrutz, Lorrie (Larry) Martin, Pam Klemme, Jane (Jim) Wheeler, and Tammy (Andy) Kline; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Along with her husband, Charles Draper, Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Waneta Hobensack; brother, Nelson (Gwen) Hobensack; and nephews-in-law, Jerry Klemme, Sam Ellis, and Jeff Hobensack.

A funeral service celebrating Frances’ life will be held at 12 pm Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Stout & Son Funeral Home-Neptune Chapel, 44 Michigan Rd, Burlington, with Pastor Dave Osborn officiating. Burial will follow in Ball Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Burlington Church of Christ. Stout & Son Funeral Home-Neptune Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
