Flodena Cooper

Flodena Cooper, 93, Kokomo, went to be with the Lord at midnight Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Waterford Place Health Campus. She was born October 25, 1931 in Sharps Chapel, TN to Cornelius and Lassie (Owsley) Dossett. On February 5, 1949 she married William A. “Bill” Cooper, who preceded her in death on January 12, 2008.

Flodena worked for Delco Electronics, retiring after 30 years of service

She is survived by two sons, Mike Cooper and his wife Terry of Indianapolis and Rick Cooper of Muncie; seven grandchildren, Chad Cooper and his wife Helena of Pasadena,  CA, Cory Cooper and his wife Mary of Las Angeles, CA, Lora Cooper of Indianapolis, Jeremiah Cooper and his wife Nichole of Indianapolis, Joshua Cooper and his wife Jill of Muncie, Caleb Cooper and his wife Megan of McCordsville, Jordan Rhodes and her husband Klif of Muncie; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Murphy and Alice Enochs; great aunt, Eva Dalton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter-in-law, Debbie Cooper; sisters, Juanita Kessler and Coby Rivers; and a brother, Tony Dossett.

The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to all those who cared for and loved her at Waterford Place.

Funeral services will be at Noon Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, with Pastor Greg Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
