Evelyn V. (Fipps) Scott

Evelyn V. Scott, 77, Kokomo, passed away at 12:55 pm Friday, December 6, 2019, at her home.  She was born November 9, 1942, in Howard County, the daughter of the late Ernest & Eleanor Fipps. 

Evelyn was a 1961 graduate of Western High School.  She retired from General Motors after 30 years of service.  Evelyn was an avid dog lover and a member of ASPCA.  She loved watching the Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Colts, and the Chicago Bears.  She cherished spending time with her family, friends and her favorite holiday was Christmas. More than anything, she enjoyed her swimming pool and her flower garden. 

Evelyn is survived by her sons, Jack Fletcher, and Mike Fletcher; step-grandchildren, Shawn Scott, and Alishia Scott; and brothers, Kenneth Fipps, and Paul Fipps, along with many nieces, nephews, and step-great-grandchildren.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Junior Fipps, and Betty Joan Fipps.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, December 12, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo.  Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1-3 pm Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Evelyn’s memory to ASPCA or WE Care.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
