Etta Jane Henry

Etta Jane Henry, 89, Greentown, passed away at 3:34 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Northwoods Village in Kokomo. She was born February 8, 1936 in Morgan Co. Kentucky to Seldon Greene and Lucy Francis (Lewis) Watkins. On September 1, 1954 she married James B. Henry who preceded her in death on August 24, 2008.

Etta enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, shopping, and quilting. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and cherished her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Kathy (Harry) Hunt, Casandra (Rick) Walters, Alvenia Guge, Mark (Debbie) Henry, and Craig (Becky) Henry; grandson, James Guge; great-grandchildren, Morgan (Chris) Rhey, James Cecil, Joanna Cecil, Aleecia, James Jr, and Henry; great-great-grandchildren, Wesley Robertson and Rowan Rhey; sisters, Joy Chapell and Carmie Lewis; and sisters-in-law, Nita Watkins and Betty Watkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Karen Wilson; grandson, Jeremy Cecil, great-grandson, Josh Cecil; sons-in-law, Tommy Wilson, Glen Guge, and Gary Hunt; and siblings, Clay Watkins, Minnie Patterson, Nellie Fox, Alma Watkins, Johnny Watkins, Roy Watkins, and Judy Gaston.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Hasler-Stout Funeral Home, 112 East Main Street, Greentown with Pastor Chuck Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Simpson Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Messages of condolence may be left at www.hasler-stout.com.
