Ethel Mae Ailor, 85, Kokomo, passed away on Sunday October 5, 2025, at her son’s home. She was born on January 8, 1940, the daughter of the late Everett and Wanita (Ellis) Thompson.
Ethel was a 1958 graduate of Kokomo High School. She worked for General Motors as an electrician, retiring after 20 years of service. She enjoyed riding around on her three-wheel bicycle, reading, knitting, crocheting, and loved watching golf.
Ethel is survived by her son, James Ailor; sister Anita (Bob) Baker; and 8 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Ailor; daughters, Sally Earlywine, Kelly Carpenter, and Amy Reed.
A Celebration of Life will take place from 4 pm to 7 pm on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W Lincoln Road, Kokomo. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G Komen for the Cure, at komern.org. Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
