Ethel N. Healton

Ethel N. Healton, 80, Kokomo, passed away at 9:45 pm Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at Golden Living Center in Kokomo.  She was born December 31, 1938 in Miami County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Harry & Thelma Myrtle (Helton) Huse.  On June 27, 1954, at Mt. Zion Methodist Church in West Middleton, Indiana, she married Lester F. Healton who survives. 

Ethel retired in 1993 as a nurse.  She enjoyed painting, cooking, sewing, and caring for her family.  Ethel was a member of Southdowns Wesleyan Church. 

Along with her husband Lester, Ethel is survived by her children, Debra (Doug) Dieterly, William Healton, Dr. Bradley (Sheryl) Healton, Pamela (Rob) Rupe, Kelly Healton, Amy (Dwight) Moeller, Cynthia (Thomas) Buffum, and adopted daughter, Barbara (Marty) Bowman; 23 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren; sister, Rita York, along with several nieces and nephews.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, and 4 sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, October 7, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Mark Rennaker officiating.  Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2-5 pm Sunday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Ethel’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
