Esther Sutton Obituary

Esther Sutton passed peacefully at her home on January 21, 2023, at 2:15 pm holding the hands of her husband and daughter. She was born December 26, 1944, in Harlingen, TX to Daniel and Dominga (Garza) Cuellar.

Esther was the beloved wife of Daniel "Danny" Sutton for the past 52 years. The very loved mother of Danelle Cottle (Jason Humphrey). Totally adored grandma of Chase Cottle, Courtland Cottle (Evan Ohman), and Anthony Sutton Jr. The Great grandma of Landon and Leighton Cottle, and Beauden Ohman. Dearest sister to Maria Pflueger, Bertha Smith, Margaret (Max) King, and Linda Smith. Cherished sister-in-law to Dick Breedlove, Jill Adams (Jeff McCrumb), and Jack (Kathy) Sutton. Remembered by several special nieces and nephews.  Her precious little dog Tansy was her comforter. A very special friend, former coworker, and caregiver made life enjoyable the past year, Pat Whitesell was a blessing to her and Danny. We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Gina Frederickson for loving and caring for her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Max "Tony" and Mary Sutton, and her devoted, smart, sarcastic and hilarious son Anthony "Tony" Sutton.

Esther loved to love people. She loved Jesus. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma Esther. She had an amazing, infectious smile and always made the people around her laugh. She was so full of zest. She was so gullible and easy to poke fun at. She truly enjoyed it and laughed along with everyone. Her talents ranged from arts and crafts to power shopping, to making the best enchiladas and tacos. She never turned down a game of Euchre and enjoyed family card nights. She was the family seamstress.  She was the first female little league coach in Kokomo at Eastside Little League Park. She was a diehard race fan and sports fan, in general. She never missed a game or activity her kids and grandkids were involved in. She enjoyed watching her niece Lisa coach basketball. Her and Danny enjoyed golf cart rides around the neighborhood. She looked forward to trips back to Texas to visit family.

She was employed by Delco Electronics, retiring after 30 years of service. During her employment, Esther made several lifelong friendships.

Esther made an impression on everyone she came in contact with. She made them feel loved. They loved her back! We will miss her loving caring way along with that amazing smile and laugh.
