Elsie Louise (Erisman) Devine

Elsie Louise Devine, 92, Kokomo, passed away at 11:20 am Thursday, January 2, 2020, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo.  She was born March 9, 1927, in Stanford, Illinois, the daughter of the late Eddie Roy & Bertha Elizabeth (Dearth) Erisman.  On April 4, 1948, at First Christian Church in Stanford, IL, she married William Robert Devine who preceded her in death on April 11, 2002. 

Elsie graduated from Stanford High School.  She was a member of First Christian Church in Stanford, IL.  She was a loving mother and wife.  Elsie was an enthusiast of crocheting and crafting.  She enjoyed giving handmade gifts to family and friends. 

Elsie is survived by her children, Terry Allen (LeAnn) Devine, and Connie Leigh Pavey; grandchildren, Kimberly Shaw, and Kami Lee Devine; step-grandchildren, Brian Pavey, Mindy Brown, Trent Ralph, and Wilder Coburn; great-grandchildren, Whitney Nicole Chandler and Tyler Gibson; 5 step-great-grandchildren; and great-great-granddaughter, Jolie Mae Chandler; and extended family. 

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Robert Devine; daughter, Donna Rae Devine; and son-in-law, John Paul Pavey.

Visitation with family will be held from 5-7 pm Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Elsie’s memory to Toys for Totts.  Stout & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.stoutandson.com. 

Illinois visitation will be held from 10-11 am Monday, January 6, 2020, at Haensel Funeral Home, 501 S. Orchard Street, Mackinaw, Illinois 61755, with graveside services following at 11:30 am in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Stanford, Illiniois.
