Obituary

Elizabeth A. Derossett, 51, of Kokomo, passed away at 6:57 pm on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Community Howard Regional Health. She was born on August 2, 1972, in Kokomo, IN.

Elizabeth graduated from Danville High School and from Indiana University- Kokomo. She worked as a dental hygienist and at Stellantis/Chrysler – Tipton Plant for 8 Years. Elizabeth enjoyed refurbishing old furniture, DIY home projects, painting, traveling with her parents, and loved animals.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Brock (Nannette) McVeigh, Khloe (Matthew) Evans, Kelsey (Carlos) Thang, and adopted son Wayne Shutt; parents, Susie and Mike Butcher; grandchildren, Caden Evans and Carver Evans; brothers, Hank (Carolyn) Williams Jr., Edward (Amy) Cron, and Jimmy (Trista) Cron; canine companion, Little Bit; and several grand-dogs and grand-cats.

Preceding Elizabeth in death was her brother, Joseph Cron.

In keeping with Elizabeth’s wishes, she will be cremated & the family is planning a private gathering. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kokomo Humane Society, https://kokomohumane.org/donate/  in her honor. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home has been entrusted with cremation.
