Elfriede Bagley

Elfriede Bagley, 98, Kokomo, passed away at 7:15 am on Saturday February 7, 2026, at her home. She was born July 21, 1927, the only child of Karl and Maria (Peter) Landmann in Kuppenheim, Germany. On August 21, 1948, she married Paul M. Bagley in Neckargemund, Germany. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2000. 

In May 1952 she became a proud citizen of the United States. Elfriede was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and was active in several of their ministries. She loved to be outdoors, hiking, swimming, kayaking and taking care of her yard. She spent many hours playing Euchre which was her favorite card game. Elfriede also enjoyed cooking and was a great baker.
Elfriede is survived by her daughter, Carla Bagley of Kokomo; and several cousins in Germany. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 am to Noon Thursday February 12, 2026, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 3155 S. 200 W., Kokomo, IN 46902. The Rosary will be offered at 10 am on Thursday at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Noon on Thursday at the church, with Rev. Fr. Peter Vanderkolk, the celebrant. Contributions may be made in Elfriede’s memory to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church or the Kokomo Humane Society. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
