Edith D. (Jaenicke) Breedlove

Edith D. Breedlove, 85, Kokomo, passed away at 9:53 am on November 29, 2025, at Community Howard Regional Health. She was born in Roseau, MN on November 5, 1940, the daughter of the late Guy D. and Amanda A. (Gulbranson) Jaenicke.  On May 27, 1961, she married Homer D. Breedlove, and he preceded her in death on April 14, 1985. 

Edith graduated from Roseau high School. She worked for Delco Electronics and retired after 32 years of service.  Edith volunteered at Community Howard for many years, was a member of the Macedonia Christian Church, and Greentown Order of the Eastern Star.  She enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, doing word searches and sudoku every day. She found joy in supporting her family in all their activities.

Edith is survived by her children, Bryan (Nancy) Breedlove, Kevin Breedlove, Lisa Armfield, and Jeff (Dawn) Breedlove; grandchildren, Trenton Breedlove, Grant Breedlove, JoAnna Breedlove, Josh Breedlove, Sequoia Breedlove, Kamie Hall, Cheyenne Rutherford, Lavinia Breedlove, Sebastian Breedlove, and Emanuel Breedlove; and sister, Carol Cupp.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 11 siblings.

A funeral service celebrating Edith’s life will take place at 11 am on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Macedonia Christian Church, 1532 S 500 E, Kokomo, with Rick Keck officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4 pm to 7 pm on Thursday at the church. An Eastern Star Service will be at 3:30 pm, prior to visitation.  Memorial contributions may be made in Edith’s name to the Macedonia Christian Church.
