Dylan Mikel James

Dylan Mikel James, 27 years old, passed away 11:16 pm Friday September 26, 2025 from a bike accident. He was born in Kokomo, IN, on June 15, 1998, the son of Christopher Sadler and Mary Ellen (Morrow) Sadler.

Dylan was a 2016 graduate of Kokomo High School. He was currently employed as a machine operator at Integrity EDM in Tipton, IN. Dylan was full of life with a funny personality and a huge smile. He was an awesome dude and never knew a stranger. Dylan’s whole world was his daughter Loula Rose. She was in awe of him and loved imitating him. He enjoyed bike rides, ice cream trips, and took her everywhere with him. Dylan’s favorite hobbies were hiking, kayaking, and riding motorcycles and motorbikes. He loved time spent with his canine companion named Karma. He made lifelong friends with people he played video games with. Dylan will be remembered for being welcoming of everyone and taking such great care of other people.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Loula Rose; brother, Theo James; and maternal grandparents, Rose and Rick Morrow.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Rose and Frank Martin also known as “Nanny” and “Papa”; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Sadler; and great-grandparent, Helen Morrow.

Dylan’s family requests casual wear for any guests attending and Nike sneakers if you own any.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 8 pm Thursday October 9, 2025, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo, IN 46902. A funeral service celebrating Dylan’s life will begin Noon Friday October 10, 2025, at the funeral home with Pastor Jason Grant officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden.
