Douglas Chambers Obituary

Douglas “Doug” Alan Chambers, 62, of Kokomo, formerly of Frankfort, passed away, Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. He was born in Lafayette, IN, on January 31, 1960, the son of the late Bill Chambers and Alice (Street) Phillips. On May 22, 1993, he married Terri Donoho in Frankfort, IN, and she survives.

Doug lived much of his life in Frankfort and was employed at Wabash National in Lafayette, IN, and Aurora Trailer Holdings in Lebanon, IN as a laborer. He was an honest, loving, and kind-hearted man with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed golfing, was a motorcycle enthusiast, and in his earlier years enjoyed fixing up and taking rides on his Harley-Davidson.  Doug also enjoyed cooking, and he adored his animals. Doug enjoyed listening to classic rock-n-roll, and his favorite artist was Lynyrd Skynyrd. Doug was a sports fanatic, especially while watching the Indianapolis Colts or Purdue Boilermakers. He appreciated the time spent with his family, grandchildren, and especially his niece, McKenzie Davis.

He is survived by his wife: Terri Chambers of Kokomo; 2 sons: Cody Chambers (partner Kurtis Roesler) of Noblesville, and Cole Chambers of Kokomo; 1 stepson: Jeremy Hale (partner Megan Hoyer) of Frankfort; 2 step-grandchildren: Emily Hale of Murrieta, CA, and Riley Hoyer-Hale of Frankfort; 1 brother: Ron (Cindy) Chambers of Frankfort; 2 step-sisters: Cathy (Jeff) Chynoweth of Frankfort and Marilyn (Lee) Billington of Avon; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Jeff Chambers.
