Doris Jean Temme

Doris Jean Temme, 77, Kokomo, received her reward in Heaven on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Wellbrooke of Kokomo.  She was born on February 11, 1946, in Evansville, IN.  On June 29, 1968, she married Alvin Charles Temme, and preceded her in death on January 21, 2012. 

Doris graduated from Fort Meyers Sr. High School in 1964. She was a medical assistant, who had worked for several Doctors over the years, including, Dr. Kathleen Beck-Koon, Dr. Kracke, and Dr. Chambers. She also worked at the ASM Hospital in Anderson, IN. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer.  Doris enjoyed shopping, crafting and she loved knitting and crocheting.  She was always happy to share with her friends about her grandchildren and great grandchildren who she dearly loved. 

Doris is survived by two sons, Michael (Haidee) Temme, and Mathew (Rachele) Temme; grandchildren, Zachary Temme, Russell (Dakota) Temme, Alexandra Temme, Kelsey Temme, Katelyn Temme, Kristen Temme; great grandson, Hudson Temme; sisters, Wanda (David) Weber and Rita Fuller.

She was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Adrian & Billie Jo Smith; and her husband, Alvin Charles Temme.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Wayne Ward officiating.  Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4 pm to 7 pm on Monday, March 20, 2023, at the funeral home.
