Donna Mae (Kinzel) Beard

Donna Mae “Lady Bear” Beard, 79, Kokomo, passed away at 6:35 pm Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Aperion Care in Kokomo.  She was born February 4, 1940, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Charles Edward Kinzel and Golda Mae (Eads) Kinzel. 

Donna graduated from Northwestern High School.  She worked as a tax preparer for over 30 years.  She loved riding motorcycles, camping, playing Bingo, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. 

Donna is survived by her daughters, Melissa Wooten, and Teresa (Thomas) Finton; grandchildren, Eric Wooten, Christopher Wooten, Justin Tucker,  Jessica Byrd, and Sean Martin, along with 9 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Lynn Dale.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary F. Martin; and siblings, Charles Kinzel II, David Kinzel, and Georgia Pitts.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, April 12, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, Jefferson Street Chapel, 414 W. Jefferson Street, Kokomo, with Pastor Tony Stewart officiating.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2-4 pm Friday at the funeral home.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
