Donald "Don" Eugene Freet

Donald “Don” Eugene Freet, 73, of Kokomo, passed away at 7:19 pm on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Ascension St. Vincent, Kokomo. He was born on October 21, 1951, in LaPorte, IN, the son of Venus and Ellen (Leiter) Freet. On August 21, 1998, he married Charlene Joy Ellinger in Rochester, IN, and she survives.

Don was a truck driver for 20 years. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and taking drives in the country.

Along with his wife, Charlene, of 27 years, he is survived by his son, Donnie (Brenda) Freet Jr. of Fulton, IN; bonus daughter, Amanda Kay DeSonia of Rochester, IN; brother, Jerry Freet, of San Antonio Texas; grandchildren, Heather Freet, Dustin Freet, Kaylee DeSonia, and Joshua Desonia; great-grandchildren, Braydon, Cyrus, Nora, and Avery Freet; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rick & Maxine Bakian of Etna Green, IN.
