Dolores Frances "Dee" (Unangst) Tippy

Dolores Frances “Dee” Tippy, 89, Kokomo, passed away at 9:05 am Monday December 31, 2018, at Fort Wayne Visiting Nurses Hospice in Fort Wayne.  She was born August 13, 1929, in Bethlehem, PA, the daughter of the late Sterling & Elanor (Stein) Unangst.  She married Gene Richard Tippy and he survives. 

Dee graduated from Liberty High School, and served as a real estate agent and broker for Century 21 in Central Indiana for 62 years.  She enjoyed reading, sewing, lunches with her family, and was an animal lover. 

Along with her husband Gene, Dee is survived by her children, George William Conwell Jr., Kokomo,  Colleen Anne (Mike) Powell, Kokomo, Michael Allen (Elisabeth) Conwell, Virginia Beach, VA, and Mary Frances (Barry) Sandlin, Kokomo; grandchildren, Jennifer (Matthew) Powell, Fairfield, IA, Meghan (Waylon) Henry, Frankfort, Marc Conwell, Virginia Beach, VA,  Gregory Powell, Kokomo, Bailey Rene Sandlin, Indianapolis, and Patrick Sterling Sandlin, Kokomo, along with several great-grandchildren; and sister, Cathryn Cunningham. 

Dee was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Rosemary Young, Sterling John Unangst, and James Unangst; and grandson, Jonathon Powell.

In keeping with Dee’s wishes, no services will be held.  Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dee’s memory to the Kokomo Community Cats TNR, PO Box 85, Kokomo, IN 46903, or the Kokomo Humane Society, 729 E.
