Dollie Marie Duling Obituary

Dollie Marie Duling, 88, of Kokomo, passed away at 5:53 am on Monday, November 3, 2025, at her home. She was born on January 18, 1937, the daughter of Harold Wesley and Mildred (Turner) Ennis. On March 21, 1971, she married Loren Eugene Duling in Peru, IN, and he preceded Dollie in death on May 19, 2005.

Dollie attended Peru High School and was a majorette with the high school band.  She worked as a bookkeeper at several local businesses and credit unions.  Her true passion was making quilts for her family and friends.  Each quilt she made, had a special meaning for each person, and she would hand stitch a personal note and attach it to the quilt.  Dollie was an active member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church where she volunteered, shared her strong faith and was a prayer warrior. She enjoyed playing Euchre with friends at church. Dollie also loved celebrating special occasions with a special meal of Alaskan king crab legs, sent to her fresh from the boats.  She enjoyed horseback riding and taking walks in the fresh snow with Loren.

She is survived by her children, Dennis (Diane) Wray, Donald (Janice) Wray, David Wray, Pete (Rachael Carlson) Wray, and Debra Rahe; grandchildren, Melissa Howell, Shannon Wray, Joshua Wray, Ethan (Tennille) Wray, Kraig (Mandy) Wray, Jessica Wray, Jason Wray, Amanda (Shaun) Kintner, Bryan Wray, Shane (Nancy) Douglas, Joshua Peter Wray, Ashlyn Nichole (Samuel) Kuehmichael, Zachariah (Amy) Rahe and Cerrissiah (Michael) Buck; and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews, Karen (Chuck) Oldfather, Keith (Kim) Ennis, Donna (Keith) Zimmer, Michelle (Tim) Mort, Cathy (Steve) Dezelan, and Mark (JoAnn) Arseneau.

Along with Dollie’s husband, Loren, she was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mildred Ennis; and siblings, Patsy Ruth Berry, Donald Wesley Ennis, and Jane Ellen Traggesser; and two beloved dogs, Sugar and Bear.

The family would like to thank Mae, Rita and Irma for taking very good care of their mother with their kindness and loving care for mom.
