Deborah "Debbie" Larch Obituary

Deborah "Debbie" Larch, 69, Sweetser, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2026 at Century Villa in Greentown. She was born September 3, 1956 in Anderson, IN to Elbert and Emogene (Poffenbarger) Stewart. On May 31, 1986 she married Darrell Larch and he survives.

Debbie was a 1974 Anderson high School graduate and later earned her bachelor’s in accounting from Indiana Business College. Always the hard worker, Debbie drove a school bus for Anderson Community Schools, was a ticket taker at Anderson Speedway, was an assistant manager at Village Pantry, was a lunch lady for Lapel Schools, worked in childcare for Pendleton Schools, and was a medical assistant at Ascension Health, formerly St. Johns, in Anderson. Debbie loved crocheting gifts for friends and family, but her grandchildren were her greatest joy.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell Larch; mother, Emogene Johnson; children, Justin (Nikki) Larch and Jenny (Rickie) Friar; grandchildren, Araya, Raylynn, and Brayden Larch; siblings, Peggy Sisson (Terry) Sisson, Teddi (Doug) Alcoe, Becky Reed, and Fran (Jeff) Loveall; a number of younger brothers and sisters on dad’s side; and a special cousin, Jimmy Poffenbarger.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elbert Stewart; step-father, Ted Johnson; as well as brothers Darrell Stewart, Ron Johnson, and Max Johnson.

Friends and family are invited to a time of visitation to celebrate Debbie’s life from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2026 at Hasler-Stout Funeral Home, 112 East Main Street, Greentown.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hasler Stout to assist with final expenses.
