David Louis Arnett

David Louis Arnett, 84, Burlington, passed away at 6:06 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026, at his home. He was born January 13, 1942, in Kokomo to David Ross and Wanita Isabelle (Hale) Arnett. He married Darla (Deanie) Wallace on January 27, 1962. She survives.

David worked for Delco Electronics retiring after 30 years of service. He earned his associates degree from Ivy Tech where he taught construction and woodworking. David was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife Deanie Arnett; children, Scott (Tamie) Arnett and Debbie (Mike) Pannell; grandchildren, Kristen (Cody) Miller, Craig (Hannah) Arnett, Kyle (Amanda) Arnett, and David Pannell; great-grandchildren, Nora, Wyatt, Oliver, Levi, Aiden, Waylon, Michael, and Weston.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Janice Kay Ryan and Connie Sue Hoover.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Shirley and Stout Funeral Home, 1315 West Lincoln Road. Services will begin at Noon, featuring a masonic service followed by a funeral officiated by Pastor Terry Russell. Burial will take place afterward at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
