David Benjamin “Ben” Majors, 44 years old, unexpectedly passed away Saturday June 6, 2026. He was born in Danville, IN, on July 6, 1981, the son of William Larry Majors and Bonnie Lee (Smith) Majors. On August 2, 2003, he married Danielle Lynn Bartels in Delphi, IN, and she survives.
Ben was a 2000 graduate of North Putnam High School. He received an Associates in Electronics and Computer Engineering from ITT Tech in 2009. He was currently employed by BoilerMasters, Inc. as a Boiler Technician. Ben was a faithful member of the Burlington Church of Christ where he was an Elder and youth leader. He loved Jesus and let Jesus guide his every step in life. Ben lived a legacy of spreading God’s love for other people. He was the best handyman and fixer of everything. He had the best sense of humor. He was a self-appointed comedian who lived to play practical jokes on people. He had a surplus of dad-jokes in his material. Ben will be remembered for being the best dad to his guys.
In addition to his wife Danielle, Ben is survived by his son, Luke Baker; mom, Bonnie Majors; siblings, Chris (Sherrie) Lacy, Abe (Pam) Majors, Nora Majors; nieces and nephews, Josiah, MaKenzie, Toby, Oliver, Isaac, Morgan, Alina, Ryan “Max”, James; mother and father-in-law, Lori and Dolan Bartels; brother-in-law, Clinton (Lluvia) Bartels; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son, Alexander “Xander” Majors; father, William Larry Majors; niece, Isabella Christine Majors; paternal grandparents, Pauline and James Majors; maternal grandparents, Geneva Mae and David Smith Sr.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3 pm to 7 pm Monday June 15, 2026, at the Carroll High School – Fieldhouse. Please enter through door #10. 2362 E. State Road – 18, Flora, IN 46929. A funeral service celebrating his and Xander’s life will begin at Noon Tuesday June 16, 2026, in the Carroll High School – Auditorium. Please enter through the main gym entrance door #3. Pastor Dave Osborne will officiate the services. A link will be available at the bottom of Ben’s obituary page to view the funeral service live at Noon on Tuesday. Burial will follow in Burlington Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army and the Burlington American Legion Military Rites Team. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Ben’s name to the Burlington Church of Christ or to the Ark Christian Ministries in Converse, IN.
