David Allen Parker, 73, Kokomo, passed away at 8:48 am Monday, June 15, 2026, at his home. He was born January 12, 1953, in Kokomo, the son of the late Jack A. & Margaret (Keith) Parker. On September 16, 1976, in Oakland, Maryland, he married Louella Jean Gaunt and she survives.
David graduated from Kokomo High School in 1972. He worked for the Kokomo Fire Department and retired from Allstate as a claims adjuster for 10 years. He was a member of Parkview Mennonite Church. David was an avid collector of all things fishing. He loved going fishing, especially on trips to Tennessee and Wisconsin with his friends. David enjoyed watching Western movies and family gatherings.
Along with his wife Louella, David is also survived by his stepson, Jeffery Gaunt; sister-in-law, Audrey Chrise; cousins, Mary VanSickel, Caroline Whitsett, and Donny Bryant; nieces and nephews are as follows, Myra Allen, Carla Lewis, Susan Longfellow, Michelle Witmer, Joseph Dorsey, and Christine Anderson; and several great nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Bonnie Henninger and Connie Price; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A special thank you to all who knew Dave throughout his journey in life. This includes family, friends, acquaintances, and healthcare workers. Thanks again for being a part of his life.

In keeping with David’s wishes, no services are planned. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation.
