Darlene Ann Krieger passed into the loving arms of God on Monday, August 8, 2022. Darlene was born on October 18, 1937, in Dickinson, ND to Frank and Gladys (McCarlson) Childs.
She grew up with her family in the Prairies of Western ND. It was a humble beginning to what would be a remarkable life. She attended school in Dunn Center ND, she met Adrian Errol Krieger. They married quite young and began their family. Upon graduation from North Dakota State University, they moved to Connecticut where they resided for 4 years. They then made their way to Indiana where they settled.
She enjoyed a wide variety of activities. She was an extremely creative and talented woman. Her greatest joy was the love and passion she poured into her flowers and gardens which resulted in her property becoming a certified Wildlife Habitat. This includes the countless bird feeders, bringing a wide assortment of birds. She spent many hours watching them while enjoying a glass of wine.
In 1977, Darlene joined New London Eastern Star Chapter where she served as Conductress. She moved to the Russiaville Chapter where she was District Starlight Chairman from 1988 to 1989. In 1990, she served as District Deputy.
Darlene was active in Church Women United for many, many years. She was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church.
