Daniel David Wilcox

Daniel David Wilcox passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, with the love of his family surrounding him.  He was secure in the knowledge that he was going to heaven.

Dan was born on May 14, 1985, to David and Rachel Wilcox. He married Megan Fennell on January 16, 2010.  On June 27, 2017, their son Aiden was born. He graduated from Eastern High School and went on to earn a Business Degree from Purdue University.  He went on to earn a Masters Degree in Accounting from IUPUI and also received his CPA license.  For the past 7 years Dan worked as a Senior Accountant for Clean Earth, formerly known as Stericycle.  Before that he was a Accountant for Somerset CPAs.

Dan, Megan and Aiden attended Chapel Hill Christian Church where Megan and Aiden will continue to attend. Dan and his family have been surrounded by a loving church family.

Dan’s life is celebrated for the loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend that he was.  His smile and exuberance for life was contagious. Dan knew how to plan a day in order to pack in as much fun, joy and laughter that a day could hold. He especially loved the times spent with family and friends.

Dan and Megan enjoyed backpacking together. They hiked up several mountains and trails, including parts of the Appalachian Trail and many backpacking adventures in the mountains of California, Colorado and Washington State. Dan loved the western part of the United States, and he was so happy to be able to take his family for a tour of many National Parks in July.  Dan also loved being a father. He did many activities with Aiden. Dan shared his love for books, Star Wars, Legos and video games with his son. A perfect day was any day spent sharing his time with Megan and Aiden.

Dan loved his family dearly, and he will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Megan and son Aiden. He is also survived by his parents, David and Rachel Wilcox, his brother Joseph Wilcox (fiancé Sara Frey), sister Emily (Luke) Walters, in-laws Glenda Fennell and Tim and Pamela Fennell, brothers-in law Jeremy (Ariel) Fennell, Josh (Carla) Fennell as well as 8 nieces and nephews whom he adored and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Eugene and Delores Wilcox and his maternal grandparents Robert and Nancy Wynant.

Funeral services celebrating Dan’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Chapel Hill Christian Church, 2600 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Steve Allen officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Greentown.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4-7 pm Monday at the church and one hour prior to funeral service on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made out to Megan Wilcox to help with future college expenses for Aiden.  Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
