Daniel “Dan” Allen Swenson, 71, of Tipton Indiana, passed away Thursday morning October 16, 2025, at his home. He was born in San Bernardino, California on July 2, 1954, the son of the late Ruben Arnold and Irene (Bridges) Swenson. He was married to Kathy (Stephens) Garman for 10 years and they had two children together. He is survived by Judy Swenson, his wife of 40 years, who he married on November 2, 1985.

Dan attended Redlands High School where he excelled in baseball. He retired from UPS with 31 years of service as a delivery driver. He had a strong relationship with the Lord and read his Bible daily. He shared his faith every chance he could. He enjoyed studying and seeking the truth. Dan was a strong and athletic man who liked playing soccer, baseball, and surfing waves in California. When he moved to Indiana in 2023, he loved working on his property every day from dawn till dusk. He owned every type of tool, tractor, chainsaws, and leaf blower known to man. Dan will be remembered for being a friend to all. He was a social man who was relatable and found common ground with people he just met. Dan was the greatest husband, father and grandpa to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who affectionately referred to him as “Ampa”.

In addition to his wife Judy, Dan is survived by his children, Jason (Steffanie) Swenson, Sarah (Laurence) Allison; grandchildren, Meghan (Dennis) Carlos, Addy Swenson, Claire Swenson, Chris Swenson, Ryann Allison, Jack Allison; great-grandchildren, Katie Carlos, Clay Pendgraft, and another great-grandchild on the way; siblings, Agnes Brickbealer, Judy Rowley; and several nieces and nephews.
