Corey Allen Griggs

Corey Allen Griggs, 38, Kokomo, passed away Monday November 13, 2023. He was born December 28, 1984 in Tipton, IN to Larry G. Griggs and Karen S. (Nance) Weaver.

Corey had a big heart and was a delightful person to know. His contagious smile and big bear hugs will be deeply missed. He generously loved his family and spending time with them, especially his nieces and nephews. Corey will be remembered for his love of fishing, the Green Bay Packers, music, and riding his motorcycle. He was gracious with his time and resources, always helping others in need.

He is survived by his parents, Larry Griggs and Karen Weaver; sons, Tylor Griggs and Riley Mitchell; sisters, Shannon Smith and Robin Crittendon; nieces and nephews, Josh Smith, Jazzy Smith, Cody Sullivan, Isaac Crittendon, and Kortni Martin; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Barbara Spivey and Robert and Ruth Nance; brother-in-law, Jason Smith; and a special aunt, Cathy Featherstone.  

A Memorial service celebrating Corey's life will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2023 at Mt Zion Free Methodist Church, 13048 S. 400 W. Kokomo, with Jackson Moore officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday at the church.
