Clinton Ronald Wray Obituary

Clinton Ronald Wray, 76, passed away at 12:28pm, Friday, January 30, 2026 at Community East hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born on December 4, 1949, the son of Ronald Leon and Laurel Gayle (Daniels) Wray. On December 8, 1973, he married Pauletta Sue (Owsley) Wray in Tipton County and she survives. Clinton was a 1968 graduate of Kokomo High School. He was drafted into the United States Army in January of 1970 where he attained the rank of SP4 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. He attended Indiana Wesleyan University earning a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in business administration. Clinton worked in management at Delphi Automotive for 31 years and retired in December of 2008. 

He was a member of Family Worship Center, the American Legion Post 6, and VFW 1152. He enjoyed going to car shows and showing his prized 1963 Impala. Clinton was an avid antique collector and enjoyed sharing his family heirlooms with friends and family. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends, especially lifelong friend, Gary Sandifur. He also liked to tinker in the garage fixing things even if they shouldn’t have been fixed. Clinton enjoyed all music. He particularly enjoyed ‘60s classics, and sang and played bass in three different bands, The Explorers, The Poor Boys, and The Lost Souls. Family was everything to him, and he enjoyed events and family trips with his loved ones. 

Along with his wife, Pauletta, he is survived by his children, Stephen Alan (Amber) Wray and Stephanie Laurel Wray (fiancé Jared Harvey); grandchildren, April Wray (fiancé Curtis Ardolino), Austin (Kelsey) Wray, Brycen Richmond, and Brayden Richmond, Marissa Harvey, Mia Harvey; great-grandchildren, Sophie Brewster, Adalyn Wray, Paisley Sanders, and Kylar Wray; brothers-in-law, Jerry Fortune and Dave Oldaker; and several nieces and nephews. 

Clinton was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Wray and Laurel (Gayle) Ogle; stepfather who raised him, Wayne Ogle; sisters, Donna Fortune, Diana Wray, and Debbie Oldaker. 

A funeral service will take place at 11am, Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Family Worship Center, 1149 E Center Rd, Kokomo, IN with Pastor James Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Albright Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3pm to 7pm on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W Lincoln Rd, Kokomo.
