Chester Ray Johnson

Chester Ray Johnson, 71, Kokomo, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo.  He was born July 23, 1954, in Alexandria, Indiana, the son of the late Chester E. & Dorothy (Weston) Johnson.

Chester was a 1972 graduate of Alexandria Monroe High School.  He retired in 2019 from the Howard County Court House as a maintenance supervisor after 25 years of service.  He was passionate in Digital Artwork such as animation in Paint Shop Pro.

Chester is survived by his son, Chester Johnson; stepdaughter, Rebekah Price; siblings, Leota (James) Shuck, Paul (Kathy) Johnson, Jerry (Lori) Johnson and Winnie (Jeff) Johnson; sister-in-law, Lori Dee Johnson, along with several nieces and nephews.

Chester was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Ora Kay Johnson, Merna (Raymond) Hood, Rick Johnson and David Johnson.

In keeping with Chester’s wishes, no services will be held.  Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation.
