Cecelia "Ceggie" Ann Pelfrey

Cecelia “Ceggie” Ann Pelfrey, 83, Kokomo, passed away at 3:31 pm on Thursday December 1, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent, Kokomo.  She was born to the late Cecil Thompson and Margaret (Watson) Cantley on September 17, 1939. On February 11, 1966, in Huntington, West Virginia, she married David R. Pelfrey, and he preceded her in death on June 14, 2007.

Cecelia enjoyed gardening, going to casinos, working outside, taking care of her home, and she loved her dogs.

Cecelia is survived by her children, Deborah (Barry) Dougherty, Cheryl Pelfrey; and Greg (Stacey) Pelfrey; grandchildren, Justin (Rachel) Dougherty, Kara (Nick) Smith, Kristen (Valentino) Ford, Haley Calaman, Miranda Phares, Kaitryn Pelfrey, and Khloee Pelfrey; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; daughter, Teresa Bowling; and sisters, Drema Mealey, and Wanda Mae Thompson

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday December 10, 2022, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Jason Grant officiating.
