Carolyn Sue Budd

Carolyn Sue (Batey) Budd, 94 years old, passed away 6:15 pm Wednesday June 10, 2026, at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Centre in Wabash, IN. She was born in Hemlock, IN, on April 23, 1932, the daughter of the late Leslie and Thelma (Andrews) Batey. She was married to Thomas Budd Jr., and he preceded her in death on December 12, 1998.

Carolyn had a stubborn and strong-willed demeanor. She retired from Delco Electronics after 10 years of service on the production line. She will be remembered for taking the best care of her family. She prioritized time with them. Carolyn especially adored her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She liked completing puzzles and playing cards. She was a member of the Greentown Wesleyan Church. Her favorite times were spent on Lake Tippecanoe.

She is survived by her children, Donnie (Terri) Butler, Betty (Tom) Little, Terry (Tom) Jensen, Steve (Elvie) Budd, Christina (Greg) Gosher; daughter-in-law, Joy (Dennis) Cardwell; 20 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren; and multiple nieces, nephews, and their families.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Gary Butler; stepchildren, Ruth Ann Gonzalez, Mark Budd; brother, Dick (Virginia) Batey.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 am to Noon Wednesday June 17, 2026, at Hasler – Stout Funeral Home, 112 E. Main St., Greentown, IN 46936. A funeral service celebrating Carolyn’s life will begin Noon on Wednesday at the funeral home with Shane Butler officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden. Contributions may be made in Carolyn’s memory to Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Centre in Wabash, IN. Hasler-Stout Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
