Camille (Bunger) Swisher, 55, passed away on March 20, 2026, at IU Methodist Hospital following a sudden illness and lung transplant. Born on March 17, 1971, in Logansport, Indiana, Camille lived a life defined by love, faith, and quiet strength.
She found joy in learning, music, flowers, and life’s simple pleasures, especially her beloved Diet Coke with ice. Camille had a gentle kindness, an adventurous spirit, and a deep devotion to her family and friends. She gave her whole heart to the people and passions she cherished, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Tim Swisher; children, Clayton Smith and Jessica (Alex) Smith; stepchildren, Billy, Abby and Jess; grandchildren, Madelynn, Kylo, Theo, Noah Camille, Caly, and Elijah; sister, Kristine (Randy) Rhodes; and two brothers Ron (Leanne) Bunger and Bob (Marie) Bunger.
Camille’s giving spirit lives on through her selfless donation of her liver and tissues, offering hope and life to others. Her legacy is one of love, generosity, and grace.
She will be deeply missed and forever etched in the hearts and souls of all who knew and loved her.
She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness. Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise. Psalm 31:25-31.
