Callie Eulene (Surber) Butcher, of Frankfort, passed away 2:46 am Tuesday April 28, 2026, at Wesley Manor. She was born on September 29, 1930, to Millard Filmore Suber and Ninnie Mae (Long) in Powell Valley, Tennessee.
Eulene was a graduate of Mulberry Gap School. She married Claude Butcher in Middlesboro, KY on July 2, 1947. Claude preceded her in death on January 11, 2003. After marriage, she moved to Indiana in 1952. She loved working as a cook at Clinton Central School Corp. She retired in 1992, after 36 years. She will be lovingly remembered for her countless delicious meals and celebrating life with her family.
She is survived by her grandchildren; Wendy (Jason) Duvall, Kurt (Erin) Watson, Erick (Amee) Click, Joshua (Megan) Click - great-grandchildren, William Allen Rucker II, Callie Elizabeth Rucker, Jackson Craig Rucker, Broderick Newton Rucker, Barret Anthony Watson and Lennox Clen Watson; son-in-law, Butch Click; as well as her sister, Nettie Noe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Virginia Joy Click; brothers, Ralph Surber, Wayne Surber, Harry Surber; and sister, Pansy Noe.
A graveside service celebrating Eulene’s life will begin 3 pm Friday May 15, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Frankfort, 496 W. County Rd. 200 S., Frankfort, IN 46041.
