Brent McClellan, 80, Kokomo, passed away at 7:05 pm Monday, January 6, 2020, at Bloom of Kokomo. He was born February 28, 1939, in Dugger, Indiana, the son of the late Ralph & Hazel (Mitchell) McClellan. On January 25, 1969, at Prairieville Church, he married Mary Jo Rayl, who survives.
Brent was a 1957 graduate of Union High School in Dugger, IN. He received his Bachelors in Accounting from Indiana State in 1961. Brent served with the United States Army. He retired from General Motors after 35 years of service in the financial department. He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and served as church treasurer. He was a former member of the Northwestern Lions Club. He enjoyed family time, sports and was an avid fan of college basketball, the Chicago Cubs and the Indianapolis Colts. Brent also enjoyed playing cards, and fishing.
Along with his wife Mary Jo, Brent is survived by his children, Eric (Shelia) McClellan, Indianapolis, and Alicia McClellan, Houston, TX; grandchildren, Megan McClellan and Madeline McClellan.
Brent was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Howard, Bill, Ken, Roy, and Larry McClellan, and Mary Cronk, Mildred Williams, and Wilma Harrison; in-laws, Carl and Violet Rayl.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main Street, Russiaville, with Pastor Michael Goodspeed officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery in Tipton County. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3-7 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
