Betty Louise Wolford, 94, of Kokomo, passed away 2:00 pm Monday October 3, 2022, at Golden Living Center Sycamore Village. She was born in Kokomo on November 26, 1927, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Maude Rivers. On June 5, 1948, she married Ralph “Gene” Wolford, and he preceded her in death on December 19, 1982.
Betty was a graduate of Kokomo High School. She was employed at Stellite then became a homemaker who took care of her family. She attended Zion Tabernacle Church for several years. Betty was a generous lady who often donated to several organizations and charities. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing the piano, and singing church songs with family members.
Betty is survived by her son, Don (Sharon) Wolford; granddaughter, Stephanie (Bryan) Soliz; great-grandchildren, Logan, Sydney, and Ella Soliz; her two nieces and caregivers, Mary Ann Adams, and Carolyn McKay; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister, Mary.
Betty’s family would like to extend a special thank you to her main caretaker at Golden Living Center, Felicia Wooden. Felicia always showed love and excellent care for Betty.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 am to Noon on Saturday October 8, 2022, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, IN 46979. Funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday at the funeral home, with Mark Spaulding officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery.
