Betty Jewell Williams, 85, of Kokomo, passed away Friday June 10, 2022, at her home. She was born in Fork Ridge, Tennessee on March 26, 1937, the daughter of the late Basil and Carrie Ellen (Rhyne) McCoy.
Betty was a homemaker and was employed at Delco Electronics. She began on the assembly line and retired as an inspector in 1987 after 32 years of service. She was known to give a helping hand to anyone in need. Betty enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching TV, and shopping. She was an amazing cook and routinely made her famous strawberry and grape jelly. Betty spoiled her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild any chance she could.
Betty is survived by her children, Robert Wayne (Carol Elizabeth) Williams, Sherri (Tony) Chorrushi, Keith Williams; the father of their children, Robert M. Williams; grandchildren, Christopher (Julie) Williams, Adam Williams, Derrick Chorrushi, Christina (Chad) Roark, Jordyn Williams, Skyler Williams, Jessica (Steve) Jaeger; great-grandchildren, Sky-Ann Williams, Kaydence Williams, Reese Williams, Seth Williams, Hailey Williams, Zach Williams, Leah Williams, Braiden Roark, Naithan Roark, DJ Chorrushi, Jewell Chorrushi, Whitney Chorrushi, Areyonna Sanchez, Grayson Jaeger, Natalie Jaeger, Lilli Jaeger; great-great-granddaughter, Lilly Chorrushi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Floyd McCoy, Earl McCoy, Roy McCoy.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 am to Noon Wednesday June 15, 2022, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, Kokomo, IN 46902. Funeral service will begin at Noon on Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Jason Grant officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery.
